This is somewhat of a duplicate post. If you look at the original post you’ll see I found the USDA WMS Links for NAIP.
So I did the post over a year ago and that was really my first foray into GitHub. I’ve struggled with it since most of my stuff or “data” doesn’t mesh well with GitHub and I don’t do a ton of programming. I do some…but not enough. I ended up making one WMS file and duplicated it to cover 48 states.
Over the last year I’ve had three people trying to help me maintain it. As someone found an out of date link or one with a format issue it’s been getting fixed…..BUT – with 2015 coming to a close there were a whole pile of updates from the USDA NAIP Program so I sat down and pushed and pulled and VI’d my way through the links. It’s now back up on GitHub.
I added a tutorial page since that part of the website seems to be getting hit from everywhere. I even had an email from a gentleman in Washington State on QGIS. He had found my tutorial page and was struggling with The National Map tutorial. So we worked through it and now there is a guy who rides horses who is now making maps in QGIS for his horse riding club….on a mac.
