QGIS Users Group – June 2016

May 23, 2016 | Chattanooga, Open Source GIS, QGIS, Tennessee

So the plan currently is to have a QGIS “users meeting” here in Chattanooga at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC).

Several people asked about learning some stuff about QGIS. …..and we’ve decided to do a meeting about “stuff”. When is the meeting? Doodle Poll!

The core group (4 people) has a little bit of a higher vote than the rest of us (because they asked first) but in my continuous want to have a QGIS Users Group meeting happen I’m doing it.

It’s going to run about 3ish hours and we’re going to tentatively cover:

  • Open Source GIS
  • QGIS Installation
  • QGIS Interface
  • Data and Display
  • Processing
  • GRASS/GDAL

Size is Limited – if you really want to show up email me. If we have enough enthusiasm – Maybe we do another in a month or two. We will retire to a bar afterwards and lie about everything possible.
