Showcase a map, poster, or plat! Maps will be on display for the entire conference. Judging will take place on the last day of the conference with winners announced during the Closing Session on Wednesday, October 8. Map Gallery Participants will earn 1 point in the Contributions to the Profession section for GISP certification, with award winners earning an additional 2 points. Certificates will be given out to all winners

Shan Arora, Policy Programs Manager for Southface http://www.southface.org, has graciously agreed to speak during the Conference Luncheon on Tuesday, October 7th
Shan’s presentation, “Mapping Georgia’s Solar Assets Illustrates Benefits of Renewable Energy,” will highlight www.GeorgiaEnergyData.org and paint a dynamic picture of Georgia’s renewable energy status, especially related to our state’s “homegrown energy source” – solar power

Within the Exhibitor Hall you will find 10 geospatial challenge posters. Fill out your answer sheets, and turn in your completed sheets to the submission boxes located in the Exhibitor Hall. Attendees with the most correct answers will be eligible for the prize drawings

Geospatial college students will be giving presentations before select judges for chances to earn prizes and recognition (Undergrad – 8:30 am, Graduate – 10:30 am)
Submission deadline – Oct 1st, 5 pm
“Mapping Your Way into a GIS Career” Panel will introduce students to the geospatial industry by highlighting career paths and required skills for entry- and mid-level positions (1:30 pm)
