One of the big questions I get asked on QGIS is “What’s the mobile environment like?”. Which leads to a whole discussion on Qfield and Mergin Maps. I’m more familiar with Mergin Maps (Plus a Business Partner). After talking to the Mergin Maps team we’re doing training. It’s going to be a mashup of their material and mine and kept to 4 hours because a lot of folk are “Virtual Training Tired”. It will be fun though. I’m running through the material now making changes. It would be awesome if you’re were slightly familiar with QGIS going into this. I’ll be doing a short intro to QGIS though in case you have questions. Then we jump into Mergin Maps. I’m probably goign to sign you up through my partner account so you can go ou and test and work with it for a bit. Don’t worry – once you get comfortable I’ll cut off access so don’t start working a project post training.

What we’re going to be running through in no particular order:

  • Short intro to QGIS
  • QGIS Forms
  • Building a quick app with Mergin Maps
  • Syncing your Project.
  • Editors and Writers

Cost $100

Location: Virtual

Show up! Should be fun!

Not that this is new - Mergin has been doing this for a bit BUT I finally had the chance to sit down and use it. I have a client taking pics of houses to feed into the 911 dispatch system. Granted - not easy, not fun, and not his idea but he walked into this and has...
