After getting through the first iteration I’m doing it again. I’m making a few changes but not many. A few examples may change and I may add one more example exercise.

QGIS Model Designer

For those of you just tuning in – QGIS Model Designer allows you to take processing tools and build simple but powerful models. You build these tools through a graphical user interface. You can also export these tools to python or run them outside of QGIS.

I use model designer randomly on projects where I need to do some intensive processing but don’t want to manually work through processing tools. So I build very models that do a specific repeatable task. It cuts down on mistakes. It gives you repeatable results. I’m a fan and this class is born out of those examples.
