Owning a business should be more than just work. Usually it is but occasionally you get to volunteer with an organization and have work support it. I’ve been helping with Waterways/Caribbean-SEA for about 10 years off.
WaterWays is devoted to clean water, both in the Caribbean Basin (dba CaribbeanSEA) and in the Tennessee Valley. They run camps and educational programs in both areas to empower kids and communities to protect and restore their water where they live, work, and play. Occasionally there is a GIS component. Mostly I’m there as the grouchy old guy who hassles kids and/or interns and/or employees.
