Yeah – I know. This talk is going to be a bit different. I’m not engaging the Geospatial Professional for another long winded discussion of why Open Data is important. This is a pot luck dinner with a group of people who like being outside. So I will be discussing OpenStreetMap like it’s fun…again. Maybe this will be my dive back in after the last few years of head butting with people in that project space.
So if you are in the Atlanta area and you want to do something fun – Come out on the 28th and bring a donation and bring some shareable food. If you have a laptop bring it. If not come that’s fine also! Prepare to hear about maps as we used to see them and maps as they somewhat exist now. Talk will be non technical – the talk will be fun. The talk will probably be about an hour or so long. If we had daylight we would be mapping and that might happen at some point in all of this!
