Organizations need to deploy intuitive mobile GIS applications that provide current and accurate information. Today, GIS has extended into mobile devices, delivering geospatial capabilities directly to field-based personnel and the public. In this session, the presenter will discuss the integration of mobile GIS technologies for collaborative Workflows for Asset Management and monitoring public works assets within a comprehensive infrastructure management system.
Vince Smith began his career with Intergraph immediately after obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Tennessee. Now, he has almost 30 years of professional experience in the GIS software industry as a software developer, software development manager, project manager, and product manager.Â For the past 7 years he served as the Intergraph Product Line Executive for the GeoMedia Desktop product line.Â He is currently the product line director for Mobile products for the Hexagon Geospatial Division.
Frank Obusek has worked in the field of remote sensing since the mid-90s.Â He has worked with all sectors of government and many private industry vendors, including owning his own small business.Â Frank’s expertise includes photogrammetry, image processing, feature extraction, land cover generation and 3D visualization.
