Cumberland URISA

Aug 12, 2013 | Chattanooga, GISP, Tennessee, TNGIC

Ladies and Gentlemen – Boys and Girls – Children of all Ages.

I present: http://www.cumberlandurisa.org/

The Cumberland Chapter of URISA is a collaborative community of GIS professionals in Kentucky and Tennessee with a local focus and an international perspective. Our mission is to encourage the advancement of geospatial knowledge through education, professional development, ethical practice and advocacy.

I can’t speak about Kentucky – but I can about Tennessee. We’ve needed an org to advance the GIS Professional life in Tennessee. We’ve had TNGIC and will continue to have that organization. It’s state centric – we need a group that isn’t. Life exists outside the state.

So join up. Prepare to take some workshops. Prepare to get active.
